MASC Annual Conferences

MASC holds an annual conference that usually takes place in the first week of October. The conferences have recently been held on a University campus or in a nearby hotel. These two to three day gatherings allow MASC members to gather in a professional, creative and academic setting to discuss, educate, inform and brainstorm a myriad of issues concerning communication.

The 2009 MASC Conference will be held at Macomb Community College (Clinton Township) on October 2 and 3, 2009.

Past conferences have played host to the sharing of research, the collaboration of ideas, the discussion of present issues, the presentation of findings, the development and constructive critique of new theory and the collective sharing of views and opinions. All of this is accomplished in a lightly structured series of workshops, panels and presentations. Though this is a gathering of students, professors and professionals, the atmosphere is friendly, welcoming and relaxed.

MASC also publishes a scholarly journal. The MASC Journal Editor is Kirstin Kiledal, with James Brandon as Associate Editor,
both from Hillsdale College. Please contact either Kirstin or James with submissions.
